Set–Up

Inspect the potential area. The set-up area should be level, free of sharp objects, and enough room to allow at least five (5) feet of free area on each side of the unit. Make sure the overhead clearance is free of trees, wires, etc. The unit height is approximately 15 feet. The area should also be on high ground, and away from standing water. A grass surface is preferred, concrete or asphalt is acceptable. The Spacewalk should not be set
up on sand without the use of an underliner.
Locate a 110 volt outlet on at least a 20 amp circuit within fifty (50) feet of the unit location. Plug your extension cord into the outlet then plug the blower into it. Make sure the extension cord is not stretched too far and lays flat on the ground. When possible, extension cords should be run along a fence or wall to that no one will trip on them. If necessary, use duct tape to secure cords to walls or ground. DO NOT run extension cords through water or puddles. Only use one fifty (50) foot cord on the blower. Longer cord will cause motor damage. It is the customers responsibility to furnish adequate power to the Spacewalk motor. The washer/dryer circuit in most homes is usually the strongest circuit in the house.
When connecting the extension cord to the blower cord, the 2 cords should be looped together by means of a loose knot. This will prevent the cords from becoming disconnected if someone trips on them or they are stretched too tight. NEVER remove the ground pin from an electrical cord. If needed, use an electrical adapter. (Full instructions will be given upon rental)
